Dr. Paul Herscu, ND

New England School of Homeopathy

Dr. Paul Herscu is an internationally sought-after public speaker. He has lectured extensively in most countries in Europe as well as the United States.

His interactive teaching style blends vivid descriptions of materia medica, differential diagnosis and homeopathic philosophy. Drawing upon his vast clinical experience, he expands an audience's knowledge of materia medica as he exposes facets of remedy pictures previously hidden.

The Homeopathic Treatment of Children, Pediatric Constitutional Types, Dr. Herscu's first book, has become the standard pediatric text for colleges in the United States and abroad. It is currently being translated into several languages. This book has served as a catalyst, encouraging and teaching practitioners to bridge the "prescribing gap" between children and adults.

His second book, Stramonium, with an Introduction to Cycles and Segments, was published in 1996. It delineates Dr. Herscu's ideas about homeopathy and explains his way of taking and analyzing cases in a system dynamics fashion, through cycles and segments. He then illustrates these concepts through an in-depth description of the remedy, Stramonium, bringing to full life this remedy for the pediatric population.

Dr. Herscu is the founder and director of The New England School of Homeopathy, which has become the largest teaching institution of its kind since its inception in 1987.

Realizing a life-long dream, Dr. Herscu founded The New England Journal of Homeopathy in 1992. This pace-setting Journal counts among its contributors some of the world's most renowned homeopaths. The emphasis of the Journal was to publish cases, articles, materia medica and seminar reviews that are relevant and useful for homeopaths of our time.

A graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Herscu had served on the board of several organizations, including the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (HANP), which he was instrumental in reintroducing the idea of case conferences. At the present time, he practices homeopathy in Enfield, Connecticut, treating both children and adults.

Dr. Herscu shares his busy life and practice with his wife, Amy Rothenberg ND, and their three children.
